3 Romantic Rendezvous

What can you do in Amsterdam for Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and you are headed to Amsterdam. You want to take your significant other to a romantic activity but you don't know what to do. Have no fear, Jaz in the City is here! In this blog you'll find our top 3 recommendations for a romantic time in Amsterdam with your partner in crime or yourself - we don't judge.

tip

Need to do something active on V-day (outside the bedroom, get your head out of the gutter people)? You definitely need to go to either TonTon Club in the center or check out Gamestate which is only a short walk away from Jaz in the City Amsterdam. They are both game halls! You can duel your lover to the death at the air hockey table or try your hand at fighting off baddies with your significant other in Time Crisis!

Want a romantic place to eat? Do you fancy fine dining in a semi formal environment? We recommend De Belhamel. That's right, we recommend something besides our own Rhythms Bar & Kitchen (which is also great by the way). De Belhamel is a cozy place to dine in the middle of the Jordaan. So after you fill your stomach with warm delights, you can take a romantic night stroll next to the canals in the area.

Want to film and chill but with a little bit of adventure? Then you need to have a romantic rendezvous at the Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam. The theater first came about in the 1920s, which shows with its old school architecture but it has been revamped to show modern films. We recommend viewing a movie in the “Grote Zaal” (which literally means big room) and sitting in any of the “loges” or even the “eerste balkon” for a romantic vibe.

Any of these can lead to a romantic night out. They are really varied but we think that there is something for anyone. You can always start your romantic stay in Amsterdam with Jaz in the City. Our suites have bathtubs and our other rooms have rain showers! We hope you have a romantic rendezvous with your lover in crime (or yourself, that's cool, single people rock and self-love is a thing)!
